Místo konání: Buchlovice - mapa zde

Objective: The objective of the examination is to verify the candidate's knowledge and skills in relation to VETcert standards.

Informations:

The Veteran Tree Specialist certification is a qualification managed by the European Arboricultural Council (EAC). In the Czech Republic, the exam is organized by the CSOP Arboricultural Academy (VETcert certification center).

The examination will be conducted in Czech or in English.

Examination Structure:

What is tested during the certification? The certification is divided into two sections: a written exam and an outdoor demonstration.

  • Written Exam: Consists of two parts:

    • Part A: Closed-ended test questions (multiple choice).

    • Part B: Open-ended questions requiring detailed written answers.

  • Outdoor Demonstration: Consists of individual exercises where the candidate must evaluate a veteran tree and its surroundings before work begins and describe the execution of the work in detail.

General context: The exam also includes general questions and exercises covering a broader context.

Important Note: The exam does not include a practical climbing demonstration or actual pruning. Candidates must verbally describe the steps required to implement the proposed management plan in detail. A laser pointer will be used for clarification. Assessment will focus on the candidate's ability to explain the reasoning behind their chosen approach and their ability to justify individual decisions.
